Our Westfield, NJ Physical Therapy practice specializes in injury prevention, mindful movement, and a return to real wellness. Whether you’re a new mom, an injured athlete, or someone who wants to move with more confidence and less pain, we are here to help.
Physical Therapy and our other wellness services aren’t just about recovering from injury or as follow-up care after surgery. Physical Therapy, Pilates, and manual therapy services can help you prevent injury, find joy in movement, and reach your physical goals.
Rather than give you a prescriptive care plan and send you home, we work with you one-on-one, taking a holistic approach to your body, its needs, and your goals. You spend your full session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is invested in helping you feel your best!
When we combine Physical Therapy and manual therapy like this, we see quick results for our clients — and we know you can see results, too!
We also offer other treatment methods, like Pilates, dry needling, fitness assessments, and more to make sure you have the plan of care that best fits your needs and goals.
We offer a range of services, based on where you’re at in your life. Please click below to find the MAG Physical Therapy and Wellness service that fits your needs and you’ll be directed to learn more! You can also book a consultation here if you’re not sure what you need!

Athletes and fitness lovers: We’ll help you recover from injury or prepare for your next big event. Create your customized sports rehab or performance plans with us.
Your body changes after baby, but even before birth, your body may need extra support. We’re here to help you feel your best to prepare for & recover from birth.
Pilates is one of the best ways to reach your goals. From improving sports performance to increasing strength or endurance, our 1-on-1 private Pilates training sessions can help!

Our dry needling services can decrease inflammation, nerve sensitivity, & scar tissue formation while also improving soft tissue dysfunction, lymphatic circulation, & more.
Dr. Melissa Maglaque is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is passionate about injury prevention and overall wellness through the use of mindful movement.
Dr. Maglaque graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and BS in Exercise Science from Rutgers University. She is a certified Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and Pilates Instructor.
She founded MAG Physical Therapy, Pilates & Wellness in 2018 because she wanted to provide quality one-on-one time with her clients and assist them in finding the root cause of their pain and limitations.
Dr. Maglaque grew up as an athlete and recovered from knee surgery at a young age, which immediately sparked her interest in physical therapy and began her career in injury rehabilitation and prevention.
She has 15+ years of experience treating a diverse population of clients, ranging from those who’ve undergone surgery or are recovering from injury to elite and Olympic-level athletes.
Before moving to Westfield, New Jersey, Dr. Maglaque lived in San Francisco for nearly a decade, where she found Pilates to be the perfect complement to musculoskeletal healing and recovery.
By blending Physical Therapy, functional exercise, and Pilates-based principles, she ensures that her clients reach their goals with safe and manageable plans. Dr. Maglaque enjoys continually learning new treatment methods and incorporating evidence-based interventions into her practice, allowing her to help clients achieve optimal health and wellness.
Clients often seek treatment from Dr. Maglaque when they have failed to improve with more traditional approaches.
